Colleen Redit, from New Zealand, began CMCT in India. It was registered in India in 1979. From the beginning its aim has been to uplift, educate and train men, women and children in occupations which give them a future of hope and dignity.

The goal of BCMCT is to help achieve the ministry aspirations of the CMCT Board and to fulfil the expectations of the NZ supporters.

Peter Brookes is the Executive Director of Bethany CMCT (NZ). Peter’s role is to promote the work of CMCT throughout New Zealand and in doing so increase the support for CMCT ministries. He also manages the BCMCT office and the NZ wide operation.

Karen Brookes is the Promotions Coordinator of Bethany CMCT (NZ). She works with Peter in promoting the work of CMCT and in the BCMCT office and selling the crafts made by the women in Chennai at CMCT’s Haven of Hope Handcraft Centre.
